International Earth Day is celebrated every April 22. As a big fan of Earth, I think it's great to have a day dedicated to loving and beautifying our planet, but I believe it really should be an everyday thing.
The three pillars of Just Be are energy healing, aromatherapy, and toxic-free living to help people experience joy, wellness, and abundance in their lives. Toxic-free living is the perfect way to celebrate Earth each and everyday. Toxic-free living isn't just about the wellness benefits for us as individuals, but it's also about protecting the environment.
Essentially everything we consume is returned to Earth in some form. It has already been proven that toxic chemicals from common household products are causing issues for our ecosystem. Sunscreens are being banned in Hawaii (CNN), household cleaners and paint should never be disposed down the drain (Mercola), and pesticides used for agriculture can cause adverse affects to soil, humans, and animals (NIH). With so much information at our fingertips, it seems reasonable we can do better as a consumers when selecting products for our home. Yet so many of us continue to use the same toxic-filled products because it's what we're used to.
For Earth Day, I challenge you to start ditching some of the toxic-filled products you have in your home and replace them with safer and effective alternatives. But please, don't dump all your old stuff down the drain! Most communities will allow you to bring a box of your toxic-filled products to the landfill for proper disposal. Below are some of my favorite swaps you can try yourself.
Young Living makes the transition from toxic to toxic-free very easy with their Thieves Premium Starter Kit. Every time someone orders a Thieves Premium Starter Kit at this link, I will send them a glass spray bottle perfect for mixing and using Thieves Household Cleaner. The Thieves Premium Starter Kit has everything you need to start eliminating toxins in your home. Your family's wellness is important, and so is the Earth's. Simple changes can have a powerful impact.
Let's do this.
