Daily Dose of Gratitude

It is so easy to be negative. It is so easy to look for things that are wrong, to mindlessly complain, to take people and things for granted, and to criticize ourselves and others. So easy. But it can be so harmful. Here's the deal: You get what you give.

Take a minute to examine your recent thoughts, your experiences, even your social media posts. What are you putting out into the Universe? Is it more positive or more negative? Whatever we focus on we attract. If you're focused on all the bad things that happen, you will create more bad things. Similarly, if you are focused on all the good things that happen, you will create more good things.

Now, being grateful does not automatically make your life perfect. It doesn't mean you never feel sad, hurt, or upset. Sometimes negative experiences are signs for us that we need to change something. But being grateful is not fake. It does not mean you constantly have to make lemons out of lemonade; I'm suggesting that once you get into the habit of practicing gratitude, you won't have to.

I remember when I first watched The Secret on Netflix years ago, which is all about the Law of Attraction. They talked about when you are feeling overwhelmed with finances and dread receiving bills, you are likely to acquire more bills. However, if you shift your focus away from bills to having the ability and abundance to freely pay your bills, you will eventually find yourself having the ability to do so. You can practice gratitude for experiencing financial freedom, even if you aren't financially free at this moment. Whether it is something you had, have, or want to have, you can give it gratitude.

Practicing gratitude raises your vibration. It re-programs you to focus on and attract the things into your life you really truly want. I'm here to help you begin practicing this new habit. Follow my Facebook page for your Daily Dose of Gratitude. Each day during the month of November, I will encourage you to think of something specific you are grateful for. Through this process, notice the shift* in your attitude, your emotional health, and your experiences.

While our society often focuses on gratitude specifically around Thanksgiving time, you can practice gratitude the whole year through. My hope for you is that as we go through this month together and experience the Daily Dose of Gratitude, you will develop this positive habit to carry with you each day.
